It never ceases to amaze me just how much we can deceive ourselves to justify not facing the truth and our own limitations and fears. The true search for spiritual growth should not be sought in ancient texts or mystical myths, it should be sought in our own hearts and minds, but not too hard because seeking often blinkers us to what is already there. Sometimes we seek in order to distract us from the true spirit. “Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens” C G Jung. We fear the truth because it contains pain as well as joy, because there is evil in the truth as well as good, because fear goes hand in hand with love I think we all know it, but many are too afraid to be aware of what they know I think we all deal with it throughout our lives it’s part of the journey most are too afraid to travel, to change, and stand rooted to the spot in fear of taking a step towards the truth repeating the same mistakes and blaming those mistakes on others. The more we know ourselves, the more we know one another.

The real crime is not in lying to others, it is in lying to ourselves.

It’s human nature, the unconscious self defence mechanism, it can only be overcome by awareness of that which we would remain unaware of
